MACON COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - Remains possibly belonging to missing college student Aniah Blanchard were found Monday morning in a heavily wooded area in rural Macon County.

The 19-year-old has been missing for more than a month.

According to the Auburn Police Division, investigators received information about the possible location of a body during the ongoing investigation into Blanchard’s disappearance. Monday morning, law enforcement searched in the 38000 block of County Road 2 in Shorter and found human remains several feet into the woodline.

Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes said they have good reason to believe the remains are Blanchard’s.

“A complete investigation is underway by ALEA and Auburn Police to determine the identity and how the victim came to be at that location. The examination will explore if the remains are those of Aniah Blanchard who went missing on October 24, 2019,” Auburn police stated.

Macon County Sheriff Andre Brunson described the scene as a densely wooded area. He said without the specific information he doesn’t think the remains would’ve been found.

“I think somebody had specific information because that’s a tough area," Brunson said.

Processing the crime scene will likely continue into Tuesday. Spotlights were being used so investigators could work through the night.

Macon County is between Auburn, where Blanchard was last seen, and Montgomery, where her vehicle was found with her blood inside. Nearly a dozen agencies have been involved in the search for her. The searches have been focused in Auburn, Montgomery and the nearly 60 miles in between the two cities.

Blanchard’s disappearance has made national attention. She is from the Birmingham area and a student at Southern Union State Community College in Opelika.

Blanchard was last seen late on the night of Oct. 23 at a convenience store on South College Street in Auburn and was reported missing the following day.

Two suspects have been charged with kidnapping her. Ibraheem Yazeed was arrested in Florida on Nov. 7. Antwon “Squirmy” Fisher was arrested Friday.

Court documents revealed a witness identified Yazeed as the person he saw “forcing Blanchard into a vehicle against her will and then leaving with her in the vehicle.”

Fisher allegedly provided transportation for Yazeed and disposed of evidence.

A third suspect, David Johnson Jr., was arrested Monday in Montgomery and charged with hindering prosecution.

Blanchard was seen on surveillance video inside the Auburn convenience store around 11:30 the night she disappeared. Yazeed was captured on video inside the store at the same time.

Blanchard’s Honda CR-V was found Friday, Oct. 25 at a Montgomery apartment complex not far from Atlanta Highway. It had damage along its passenger side.

An affidavit stated blood “indicative of someone suffering a life-threatening injury” was found in the passenger compartment of the SUV. Forensic testing confirmed the blood was Blanchard’s.

Her stepfather is UFC fighter Walt Harris. A reward totaling $105,000 from multiple sources has been pledged toward the effort to find her.

Yazeed and Fisher are being held in the Lee County Jail without bond.

(CNN)Congratulations are in order for Hoda Kotb and Joel Schiffman.

The "Today" co-anchor broke the news Monday on her show to the delight of her coworkers.
"I have to tell you something that a friend of mine, a friend of ours, asked me to let you guys in on a secret,'' Kotb said. "I'll give you her initials. Her initials are Hoda Kotb, and she's engaged."
She then pulled out her hand from under the desk where she had been hiding her sizable engagement ring.

Cue her co-anchors going nuts over the news.
The couple have been together for six years and are the parents of adopted daughters Haley Joy, 2, and infant Hope Catherine, who joined their family in April.
Kotb said Schiffman popped the question over the weekend during dinner on the beach while the pair were vacationing.

"And he was like, 'I have something else I would like to say,'" she said. "He said some beautiful things and then he got down on one knee. He said 'Would you be my wife?'''
She said she was totally surprised by the proposal.
"He's good," she said. "He had a good poker face."
Kotb also joked about how they were going to tell their young daughters, "Your parents are going to get married."

We're officially one month into the 2019-20 NBA season, and things are starting to heat up. Both conferences look a lot more balanced and competitive than we expected, a legend has returned to the game, and the league's best have returned at an even higher level. Plus, off the court, there's been a number of interesting storylines, including some potential big changes to the schedule.

Here's a look at some of the most interesting narratives from the first month of the season, and whether or not they're worth buying or selling.

Buy or Sell: Doncic is the leading MVP candidate
Sell. After his stellar Rookie of the Year campaign last season, Luka Doncic made it clear he was going to be a star in this league. But even his most ardent supporters couldn't have expected him to be this good, this soon. Just 16 games into his second season, Doncic has established himself as one of the best players in the league. After 41 points, six rebounds and 10 assists in the Mavericks' victory over the Rockets on Sunday -- their fifth straight -- Doncic is nearly averaging a triple-double at 30.6 points, 10.1 rebounds and 9.8 assists per game. He's second in scoring and assists, 13th in rebounds and has already put together a number of historic performances. More than that, he has the Mavericks in fourth place in the West at 11-5, and in position to get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
